An Observation

I made an observation to Ann a while ago that I think I should have posted but haven't till now.

Most of you that know me, know that I have been into bikes and RC airplanes for most of my life.  When I got hurt in the USMC and couldn't compete in Triathlons anymore, I really sunk into depression.  That coupled with my battle with PTSD made for a really bad combination.  In this time, I turned to RC planes again to fill the void and keep my mind busy.

Now, I've been back training for Tris for about 6 months.  I've dropped some of the weight I gained (although I still have a bunch more to go) and I'm generally happier.

I was looking at the magazine rack in the bathroom and realized:

"I'M A LOT HAPPIER WHEN THE MAGAZINE RACK IS FILLED WITH TRIATHLETE, INSIDE TRIATHLON AND BICYCLING THAN WHEN THERE ARE RC PLANE MAGAZINES THERE."

So, here's to filling your magazine rack with the things that matter to you rather than the things that just take up space.
